Taste of Salesian Life - 2002
||I had the privilege to spend five weeks
with the Salesian Sisters and work at their summer youth camp. It has
been a wonderful experience to work with the children. It was also a joyful
experience to get to know the Sisters through prayer, chores, and community
sharing. I learned a lot about myself and I hope to continue to grow with

This summer at Mary Help has been a blast! I met many amazing and inspiring
people to help me on my spiritual journey. I really enjoyed sharing
the mission of the Salesian Sisters by working with the kids at camp.
This has been a summer that I will never forget.
"This is my second summer taking part of "The Taste of
Salesian Life". Last summer was amazing and I couldn't wait to
come back. It was thrilling to be with them. These Sisters play basketball
and run around with the kids. They are full of JOY!!! . What has been
even more inspiring for me is their love for Jesus in whatever they
do. Praying with the Sisters, working with them and living with them
has been awesome. I'll be back, for sure! It was really cool to be
the other young women who are thinking of imilar questions that I'm
thinking about. I have grown in my faith and am excited to know this
is just the beginning!"
|"Living in the Mary Help community
has been enlightening and delightful experience. My days have been enriched
with thought-provoking prayers, lively conversations, and fun filled activities.
The Sisters have inspired me to deepen my own relationship with God and
others through their selfless acts of love, courage, and faith. I consider
myself spiritually blessed by this experience."

"I met the Salesian Sisters for the first time in Tampa, Florida.
I wanted to experience more of the Salesian way of life, so I decided
to come to Mary Help of Christians camp for the TSL. This is my first
year and what a great experience it has been! I love working with the
children and the Sisters. I hope to come back for some more fun memories."
"My summer experience at Mary Help Camp has been truly wonderful.
The same spirit of joy that I fell in love with fifteen years ago at
Christ the King School in Tampa, Florida, is alive at Mary Help. It
was no surprise to me that the Sisters would open not only their house,
but also their hearts to us. Living with the Sisters in such a large
and diverse community was beautiful. They allowed us to share in their
prayers, work and recreation. As a lifeguard I got to see and interact
with all the children everyday. I could not have had a better job."
